Transcription, neural circuits and behavior: How are experiences encoded in the brain?
The Citri group is focused on identifying and characterizing the molecular and neural circuit mechanisms by which the mammalian brain encodes experiences and adapts behavior. The group combines analysis of transcription, electrophysiology, functional neural connectivity and behavior with perturbational analyses utilizing transgenic mice and viral vectors. The main behavioral paradigm studied in the lab is that of the experience of drugs of abuse.
